BSLA meeting February 13, 2009 Meeting called to order by Vice President Mark Johnson at 8:42 AM Minutes takes by Jack Johnson. There were not enough board members to make a quorum. Minutes and Treasurers report from January will have to be approved at March meeting. Members Present: John Sturner, Mark Johnson, Dan Branson, John Pilney and Jack Johnson. Guests Present: Jim Carlson, Ron Smith, Scott Turner, Mark Anderson (possible board member). President's Report: Jim Krezowski is keeping abreast of the ROPE study. The BSL board meeting will be held on the 17th of April due to Good Friday on April 10th. Dan Branson will be checking on a site for our annual meeting. Jim Carlson suggested Camp New Hope. Guest's comments: Sheriff Turner said there will be new slow no wake signs for the upcoming summer; there will be new sensitive area buoys as well. Ron Smith asked for ideas of possible improvements on public accesses. Shamrock Township is running short of salt. There will be a final walk through for the new maintenance building. Shamrock Township annual meeting is March 10th. Shamrock cleanup Day is yet to be decided. All articles for the April newsletter need to be to Jim Carlson by March 1st. Volunteers are needed to attend the Rivers and Lakes conference in Rochester, MN May 7 - 9. We will be keeping the interns at boat ramps for summer 2009 John Sturner reported the Star Lake progress. BSLAWAMP needs attendees for meetings. ROPE study has nothing to report. TMDL no final reports. Water surface use….there is a new sticker for folks that have Jet Ski's Fisheries: nothing to report. The new Web site is up and running. Vegetation - Shoreland Restoration will be matching funds available. Government Relations - Still working on property cleanup. ACLARA nothing to report.
